Women’s Association News & Events – May 2018

Many thanks to all of you, for supporting our annual Birthday Offering during the month of April. Through this fund, the Presbyterian Women’s mission program can support projects for helping women and children in need.

 The annual spring gathering of women of Northern Waters Presbytery will be held on Thursday, May 10, at Lakeside Presbyterian Church, Duluth. Registration begins at 9:30, with the program at 10:00. Speaker is Linda Hora from Iowa who was on the global exchange trip to India. The meeting is usually over by 2 p.m., and we encourage you to consider going for the day. It would be great if we could fill a couple of car to go. Reservations need to be in by May 8, so please call the church office or RoAnn Ledin, 715-292-3893, if you are able to go.

 Estelle Schneiderwind will be celebrating her 100th birthday on May 19. We have planned a card shower, hoping to get 100 cards to send to her. There will be baskets in the church the first two Sundays in May for you to leave a card. Remember the women’s brunch/luncheon scheduled for Saturday, May 5, from l:00 to 3:00. The luncheon theme is Women of the Bible, which promises to be an interesting program. Reservations due by May 1, call the church office.

 With the year coming to a close, the circles will meet for their last meeting on Monday, May 21, with Mary- Martha at 1:00 and Deborah at 7:00.
