Laurel Harnisch
My name is Laurel Harnisch, and I am a lifelong resident of Ashland. My husband Brett and I have two daughters– Averie and Autumn. As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors, playing cards and board games, having movie nights, walking our dog Brynn, and exploring the beautiful community we are blessed to live in. In my personal time, I am an avid reader and enjoy waking up extra early to watch the sunrise with a cup of hot tea and a good book.
I have previously worked in the fields of Christian education as well as pediatric healthcare before taking time off during the pandemic to finish my bachelor’s degree in sustainability from UW-Superior. Upon finishing my undergraduate degree, I felt called to pray for an opportunity to be able to share my faith and love of Jesus with others through a career in ministry. What I assumed was an impossible prayer was brought to me and made possible by God through the Director of Family Ministry position.
I am so blessed to be able to work with youth and families every day. From hosting middle schoolers at beach bonfires during our weekly Youth Group to serving ice cream sundaes at Youth & Family ice cream socials, I am always most grateful to have the opportunity to spend time together having fun, investing in lives, and guiding others to be closer to God.
