Resumption of In-Person Worship Services Postponed to June 27th, 2021

At its April meeting, Session decided to delay the reopening of the sanctuary for in-person worship.  Following the guidance of local health officials, Session approved the recommendation of the Worship Committee to postpone the reopening of the sanctuary to Sunday, June 27, 2021.  Although the delay will be disappointing to many, Session believes it was appropriate and necessary to protect the most vulnerable members of the congregation from COVID.

During its discussion, Session considered in-person worship alternatives to meeting in the sanctuary including outdoor worship during the summer months.  It was decided that the logistics of providing for outside worship required more planning by staff before it could be seriously considered as a viable alternative.
