Women’s Association News – March 2019

Women’s Association news

Save the date!  Plans are in place for the first women’s luncheon of the year on Saturday, March 30, from noon to 2 p.m.   The theme is Too Blessed to be Stressed.   Our program will feature information about and a demonstration of Tai Chi.  Plan to join us, bring a friend, and enjoy lunch and fellowship with each other.

We have received correspondence from the child we support through ChildFund. Genesis is now 8 years old. Her older sister writes the letters, which are shared with our Sunday school children.  She told us about her Christmas celebration in Honduras, how they put up a tree and decorate it with lights, poinsettia flowers and spheres.  She is a good student, and has passed her grade with good scores. We are able to support her with funds raised at our annual bazaar.

We have 20 lap robes finished, which have been on display in the church, and will be delivered to nursing home residents this month.  There are still some kits available to sew; they are in the room just before the lounge. With the beginning of the Stained Glass Windows Repair Fund, the Women’s Association is planning a donation for the repairs.  Since all women of the church are part of the Association, we would like input as to your thoughts on the amount.   Please talk to any of the Team members and express your opinion.

Team officers are RoAnn L., Jan E., Myra B., Kat W., and Carol E.   This will be another way we can give back to the church from the support we receive with our annual  bazaar.
