Women’s Association News – September 2020

The Women’s Association team met in August to plan for the coming year,   It was decided that the Circles will begin meeting for Bible study in person on Monday, September 21, using the church facility.   Mary Martha meets at 1 p.m., and Deborah at 7 p.m.  The new study is titled “Into the Light, finding hope through prayers of lament.”   Books are $10, with large print available for $15, and can be ordered by calling [Contact Church Office for Details].  We hope many of you will take advantage of being part of these groups, and there may be opportunities for virtual participation—more info on this later.

Discussion was held regarding the Holiday Bazaar, which is our only fund raiser and which is currently scheduled for Saturday, December 5th.  The Session has okayed our having the bazaar, with following COVID-19 guidelines. There will not be the Tea Room, so we can spread out the tables and designate a flow pattern through the dining room.  This will give people a chance to social distance while enjoying the offerings.  We know we have many talented people in our congregation, and if any would like to have a table for their own crafts, needlework, etc., with a table charge or a percentage going to the Association,  we encourage you to consider that.   We have  a lot of details to still work out, but we want people to be thinking and starting on the crafts, decorations, etc. they plan to donate.  We will have more information in the next newsletter.
